Peter McMahon
Peter McMahon is a 2007 graduate of Utica College and holds a B.S. degree in business management. He joined the original practice of Audiology Consultants in August 2007. Peter obtained his hearing aid dispensing license in 2009 and is now the chief executive officer of Hearing Aid Consultants of CNY. He is very passionate about providing individuals with the best possible hearing care, and feels everyone deserves to hear. He really enjoys what he does and loves making a difference in the way people hear. Peter currently resides in Camillus with his wife, Leigh, and their two daughters, Lily and Audrey.
Dr. Judy McMahon
Dr. Judy McMahon is a lifelong resident of Cortland. Her undergraduate education began at SUNY Cortland in 1979. In 1987, she earned her master’s degree in audiology from Ithaca College. In 1997, she established Audiology Consultants, so she could provide a needed service to the hearing impaired in her community. In 2004, she earned her clinical doctorate in audiology. In 2017, the practice transitioned to what is known today at Hearing Aid Consultants of CNY, and Judy works there still providing audiology services to all ages. Judy currently lives in Cortland with her husband Joe.
Tammy Wood
Tammy Wood was raised by her great grandparents and grandparents. Three of them had significant hearing loss. As a teenager she worked in a ladies-only retirement home and was responsible for their activities. It was difficult to communicate with some as they also had hearing loss but did not use hearing aids. Later in life she had the opportunity to be educated and trained as a hearing aid dispenser. In June of 2004, Tammy became board certified in hearing instrument sciences. Over the years she has built wonderful relationships with the people she served. “The most fulfilling part of my job is to see the changes that occur as a patient starts to hear and communicate better. Their whole demeanor changes, and they seem happier, younger, and more engaged in life. I want to continue to help people achieve this.”
Patrick McMahon
Patrick is a New York State registered Hearing Aid Dispenser. He graduated from Cortland High School and went on to receive his associates degree at Onondaga Community College. After completing his associate degree, he attended SUNY Cortland and achieved a B.S. in Business Economics. As a lifelong resident of Cortland, NY, Patrick plans on staying in the central NY area for the duration of his professional career. Patrick is enthusiastic about improving others’ quality of life through hearing health care and working at Hearing Aid Consultants allows him to do just that. He is passionate about assisting people, both in his personal and professional life. He finds success as well as self-fulfillment in helping others, as it is a top priority in his life.
Kelley Robinson
Kelley Robinson also joined our team in 2014 and manages our Ithaca location. She was born and raised in Cortland, New York. Kelley attended Homer High School, located in a small town right outside of Cortland. In her free time she stays busy while attending her two sons’ sports activities and family activities. Kelley and her two sons currently reside in Cortland.
Nina MacLean
When it’s time to call Hearing Aid Consultants of CNY, Nina, who joined the practice in June 2005, will help you schedule an appointment. Whether it’s for an evaluation or to discuss hearing aids, Nina will listen to your concerns and connect you with the appropriate person. Nina manages our Cortland location, and is a lifelong resident of Cortland, along with her husband Mike.
Colleen McMahon
Colleen McMahon is a 2015 graduate of Utica College and holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice.
She joined the practice in November 2021 and works out of the Syracuse office. When not working, Colleen likes to craft, be outside, and entertain her son, Brooks. Call Colleen at our Syracuse office if you have any questions or concerns.
Tammy Smithers
Tammy has been working as the receptionist at Watertown Hearing Aid Center for 15 years. She is the person scheduling and calling to remind you of your appointments. When she is not at work, she enjoys attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending summers by the lake at the cottage.
Bridget McMahon
Bridget McMahon is a 2014 graduate of Mansfield University with a B.S. degree in Public Relations and a concentration in Marketing. She is the Community Outreach Specialist at Hearing Aid Consultants. Bridget maintains relationships with area physicians’ offices and provides them with updated audiological practices and procedures with regards to our office, pertinent articles relevant to patient care, and basic troubleshooting. Bridget currently lives in Volney, NY with her two dogs Henry and Sally.
Leigh McMahon
Leigh joined Hearing Aid Consultants in 2017 as our Human Resources manager. She was born and raised in Amherst, NY to a large family which has always been and continues to be a priority for her. She later graduated from Utica College with a B.S. in criminal justice. She moved to CNY in 2007 and currently lives in Camillus with her husband, Peter. Their two daughters, Lily and Audrey keep her busy and thoroughly entertained.
Heather Sherwood
Heather joined our team in 2023. She was born and raised in Cortland, New York, but spent some time living in Florida as well. In her free time, she enjoys being with her friends and family, traveling and being outdoors with her dog, Blue. She loves connecting with people and helping them with any needs or concerns they may have. You can primarily see her in our Cortland office, but you may also see her filling in at one of our many other locations as well.
